Classes

There's Something for Everyone!

Greater York Dance is the perfect dance studio for children curious about dance and just starting out or for those children who are interested in leveling up their dance performance training.  Students can take one class per week or fill their schedules depending on the intensity they would like to train. Additionally, students looking for pre-professional or performance-level training are given many educational opportunities.

Ballet, Tap, and Jazz classes as well as Musical Theatre, and Mini Pom Squad & Cheer and more for children ages two (2) to seven (7).

Early Childhood Dance

American Academy of Ballet Performance-Certified, pre-professional ballet classes for ages seven (7) and up.

Ballet Classes

Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Modern, Contemporary and more for children ages seven (7) and up.

Commercial Dance Classes

Dance classes and workshops held in June - August.

Cost & Schedule

Cost of class tuition varies depending on the number of enrolled classes.

Our performance year typically begins each August and goes through June, we welcome year-round enrollment;  1 class/week is $65/month.

Ballet

We are an American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards Certified School led. Whether it's one class per week or multiple,  we meet rigorous standards of ballet education while keeping it fun, safe, and rewarding.

Jazz

Jazz dance combines technique of ballet & modern and fuses it with popular and ever-evolving street styles of music and movement. Jazz dance choreography is often seen on Broadway & TV.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop dance evolved as part of the hip hop music culture, creating unique body movements like popping, locking, and breaking to hip hop music of the 70s through today.

Tap

Dancers create syncopated sounds with metal taps fastened to specialized dance shoes. Well known tappers include Fred Astair, Gregory Hines, & Savion Glover.

Modern & Contemporary

Modern & contemporary dance incorporates various styles like ballet, African, jazz, & more, often displaying abstract forms of movement.

Acro & Tumbling...Cirque

Acrobatic dance & tumbling or add Cirque trains dancers & movers in strength, flexibility & agility for the purpose of learning & safely performing gymnastic-based moves and tricks.

Our instructors are certified professionals from various institutions and affiliations, as well as vast performance experiences ranging from The Baltimore Ravens, Walt Disney World, cruise lines, touring companies, and more.
