Lori Garling, Artistic Director


Lori is a certified member of the prestigious National Registry of Dance Educators and has taught in the South Central PA region for over 30 years.

Most recently, she studied with world famous ballerina, Maestra Ramona De Saa of the Cuban National Ballet. She was taught the history, methodology, cultural traits and distinctive characteristics of the Cuban National Ballet School’s curriculum.  Lori Garling is certified in the teaching of the Vaganova method of classical ballet and does free-lance choreography and teaching for area schools and colleges, health clubs, musical theatre organizations, and commercials.  In addition, she majored in dance at Towson University and has trained under many dance masters including Flora Mae Gillespie of the Littlefield School, Caroline Delone, Marcia Dale Weary, Carla Craig of the Philadelphia Civic Ballet, Holly Mora, Cherie Noble, and Margaret McCann. Garling has a wide range of choreographic experience from creating children’s story ballets such as “Snow White” and “The Twelve Dancing Princesses” to leading flash mobs for the Cultural Alliance of York County, the York Revolution and for the United States Post Office.

She served as a trustee for Arts To The Core (arts based charter school), served as Membership Chairman of the Northeast Region of Regional Dance America while her company was an honor member and served National Dance Week as PA State Director. She also was a substitute ballet teacher for HACC. A former Miss York County, Ms. Garling is trained extensively in ballet, and she is an expert in the development of pre-professional dancers. Her passion is to bring all people to share and experience the love of dance. She loves sharing her knowledge and her method of training with all students.
