Classic Combo
This fun class is filled with dance styles that are classic to children’s dance training and will help them learn which style they enjoy most!
Performs a Jazz dance in the June Show.

Tap
Students develop tap skills as they focus on vocabulary, technique and performance. Students dance to a variety of music.

Jazz
Pop Jazz and Theatre dance are a focus of this exhilarating and upbeat class.

Hip Hop
Our Hip style is more new style than old school and is very rhythmic. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities.

Contemporary
If you like “So You Think You Can Dance”, you will love this class that inspires movement from within.

Modern
This introductory Modern class will incorporate any of the foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving.

Acro
Our Acro program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Our instructor is certified in teaching Acro.

Hip Hoppin’ Combo
Hip Hop & Jazz combine for an amazing class filled with the joy of dance and movement. This class is definitely for the movers and shakers!

Performs a modern piece in the June Show and student may need to provide a tan bodystocking or black camisole leotard; bare feet

Lyrical/Acro
Lyrical/Acro is a class where dancers express their movements to the words of songs. Think “Dance Moms” choreography.

One-Pageant

Classes are offered in a variety of performing arts subjects with a focus on street and stage performances in the SCHOOL OF COMMERCIAL DANCE. This program is the division for many programs from Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Acro and more.

Dancers choose the schedule depending upon their personal schedule and dance priority. The dancer progresses through the program as their interest, vocabulary and ability increase in an environment that builds confidence and development of life tools that extend well beyond the classroom.

Musical Theatre is for students who wish to be Triple Threat Performers or for those who wish to study Jazz, Tap and Broadway Styles – Sing, Dance, Act. This program is offered as separate classes or combined by joining MIDSTATE MUSICAL THEATRE. Students enjoy many inspiring classes that are designed to provide flexible scheduling opportunities for dancers to reach their fullest potential.

This division presents a musical theatre production as part of the program…in 2016, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians and in 2017 Disney’s Aladdin and in 2018, Villainy, an original theatrical work by Amanda Klotz, Musical Theatre Director.
